April 16 at day 25 anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster the Friends of the Baltic NGO (Russian SPARE coordinator) held open Memorial Day of Chernobyl and Day of Alternative Energy at the St. Petersburg Ecocentrum.

Teachers and students from schools, clubs, Centers for additional education discussed how energy saving solutions and application of renewable energy sources can help to abandon dangerous nuclear power.
